Several projects, such as an industrial production line automation system for BP Chemicals Ltd, involved the use of both industrial PCs and Programmable Controllers (PLCs), integrating a number of separate control and monitoring systems into an overall solution. In the course of this he was asked to author the first of two textbooks on industrial automation and control, ‘Programmable Controllers, operation and application’, which became a worldwide best seller.
He previously held the position of DTI MAPCON consultant ,working with many major companies on the design and development of suitable real time and embedded control solutions.IRW today has a team of experienced system designers, engineers, and software developers, who are qualified and able to take your requirements from concept stage through to realisation.
